Antalya – Located on Anatolia’s south west coast, the Mediterranean – often referred to as the Turkish Riveria,  Antalya is a city that was first occupied in 200 BC by the Pergamon dynasty, later defeated by the Romans.  Antalya thrived under Roman rule and monuments were constructed here including the Hadrian’s Gate.  Later the city survived under Ottoman rule and found stability for many years.

Antalya has a quaint old town Kaleici, with boat trips departing from its harbour.  Antalya is renowned for it lovely beaches on its eastern side, and luxury hotel resorts – including Lara beach, 12 km of pristine sands.  Antalya, bordered by the Taurus mountains,  offers green natural places to visit such as the famous Duden Falls, a short drive away.

Antalya has its own airport and can be reached easily from many European destinations.

Further along this beautiful coastal plain, are the resorts of Belek and Kemer, for golf lovers.  Some  top class golf courses have been constructed here by famous golfers such as Nick Faldo.
